There is a very good reason why dentures have endured as a restoration for so long and continue to thrive today: they work. And in addition, they are an easier and less expensive way to replace all of the teeth on the upper or lower jaw. At Verna & Mulahu, we’re pleased to offer both partial and complete dentures. So whether you need to replace one, several, or all of your teeth, you can be confident that our Midtown East dental restorations will have you enjoying a full smile and the ability to go about eating, speaking, and laughing once again, all without self-consciousness.
Partial dentures consist of a foundation made of plastic and colored to resemble the pink color of your gums. Replacement teeth are attached to it. In order to get partial dentures, our dentist will take measurements and impressions that will be sent off to the dental lab. Our Midtown East dental restorations will be returned and are designed to give you both a good fit and a comfortable experience wearing them. After all, if your partial dentures don’t feel right, you will not want to put them in at all. If any adjustments are needed, that will be taken care of. You will wear your partial dentures as needed, using special adhesive to keep it in place.
There are two types of complete dentures, when you either are missing all of the teeth on one jaw or you have very few left and those are scheduled to be removed. The most common and recommended complete dentures are referred to as conventional. After the last of your teeth have been extracted, there is a waiting period during which your gum and bone tissue go through a natural process of shrinking and healing. The reason this is done is that it promotes a better fit for your complete dentures. However, immediate dentures can be done, if you require that. It just means that adjustments will need to be done later to correct for the changes in your gum and bone tissue. Our Midtown East dental restorations provide you with options and flexibility so that you can replace your missing teeth and enjoy the benefits of a full set of new teeth.
